Why Dry Brushing must be a daily habit

Updated: Dec 17, 2022

Dry-brushing or dry massage is a traditional Ayurvedic technique of self care.

It is used to stimulate, reinvigorate and detoxify the skin and lymphatic system. For me, it has been a part of my daily routine for over 10 years now and I can not recommended more. I love spending 5 mins every morning, before showering, to dry-brush my whole body. Dry brushing is a wonderful way to show some love to your skin, and believe me it loves you back.

Benefits:

  • Eliminate dry and dead skin cells, revealing a fresh glow

  • Restores radiance to skin, leaving the skin softer and healthier-looking

  • It drainage stimulates the lymphatic system

  • Improves blood circulation

  • It supports the release of toxins

  • Boosts skin elasticity

  • Rejuvenates the nervous system

Tips:

  • Applying slightly firm pressure, start from the feet and move in long circular motions, in the direction toward the heart, covering the whole body.

  • It is important to make sure your skin is completely dry before starting.

  • It is normal for the skin to turn slightly pink.

  • Avoid skin that is broken or wounded

  • Clean brush with soap and water
